Web 2.0 Still a No-go
"If you think an RSS feed is something that cattle munch on, you’re not alone. For all the hype—at conferences, on the Internet, and in this publication and others—about how Web 2.0 technologies are changing the way lawyers practice, the bulk of the profession is only now on the verge of beginning to use those tools in their daily professional lives, according to the ABA’s annual Legal Technology Survey Report."
For those of you at law firms, does this sound about right? Do you see folks adopting 2.0 at your firm? I'm curious to hear about uses, successes, failures, or whatever you've been thinking about. We are currently investigating the value of LinkedIn, Facebook, wikis, and RSS as CI tools and marketing/business development tools. I like online networking and all this stuff, but am concerned that my clients (our law firm's partners) are not using it, or even worse, using it badly.
Is anyone else in the same spot? What are you thinking?
